gold bedroom

Last weekend I found gold color luxury satin sheet set at T.J.Maxx. I thought how fun it would be to sleep in these satin gold sheets? Some say gold in a decor should be used in moderation. I may have gone overboard but, what is wrong with having fun? Gold can make a room warm, rich and inviting rather than ostentatious. I used some gold and brass elements around the house and even applied it on some walls.The pattern was a tiny picture that I saw on Tracy Reese's New York Stores' walls in a 2006 Elle Decor issue. I fell in love with the red walls with gold leaf ivys. Gold goes really well with red.

Here are some pictures of my gold bedroom;

  1. I love everything about your bedroom. You and I have very similar tastes. Great job on the stenciling/painting. I especially adore your ceiling light fixture. I'm trying to find something similar as a fan light kit.
