jaime pressly's home

Just found this page among my pile of papers, I believe it is form August 2006 issue of In Style magazine. The reason I kept this page all these years is because I loved her home decor especially her bathroom... Now that I am renovating my bathroom, it seems a good time to revisit her bathroom and some of her home pictures...

 In Style, August 2006 page.

She has my dream bathroom. Love the big slate tiles with little spacing, the natural light, buddhas and candles... It is so serene and inviting... When I looked at this picture I realized that I had this image in the back of my mind when I put a travertine tile wall in front of my bathtub - My bathroom renovation pictures coming soon...

Jaime Pressly at her stairs, loving the buddha on the wall.

Thai buddha occupies a corner in her house.

Large Kuan-Yin buddha head sitting on a low altar table greeting her guests as they enter her living room.

I love surrendering myself with antiques and always wonder what's the story behind them...

devi rao green ring

I just found a Devi Rao green ring at T.J.Maxx. It is 18k gold-plated sterling silver. I am not sure what the stone is. Anyone know?

It is a great addition to my green ring collection :)

I love how they look together with my Turkish table runner, hammam bowl and glass beads I bought when I was traveling in Turkey.

my new bathroom decorative accesories

Still renovating my bathroom. Here are some of the decorative accesories that I am using...

Loving these gorgeous natural stone bathroom accesories from Home Goods. They sold out in my area, I spent hours driving miles and miles, going from Home Goods to Home Goods to find these all together in one store. :)

Feeling fire safe? Vanillia scented waxed Flameless candles from Home Goods. Battery operated. They look so real.

Beautiful heavy natural stone buddha and ganesh statues made in Thailand, from T.J.Maxx.

Goat hide rug from T.J.Maxx.

Heavy oil rubbed bronze extendable mirror from Van Dyke's. I love the old look.

Chinese window screen from chineseantiquewholesaler, ebay based store, warehouse in NYC.

Huge buddha panel from Home Goods. I wanted to hang it from the ceiling in the bathtub wall area, now I have second thoughts on it because the bathroom might get too crowded.

Solid teak spa mat from Home Goods. Turkish bath silver filigree clogs (Takunya), antique Turkish hamam bowl with fish.

And lastly, here is my favorite reclaimed wood framed beveled miror. LOVE this mirror. I found it at Marshalls. It has some minor problems; Mirror is detached, frame is loose. I hope to fix that. I am planing to put it on the floor - secured to the wall.

Lets see where all these accesories will fit in my tiny apartment bathroom. Stay tuned...

ralph lauren blue&white asian style lamps

I have been seaching for small size asian style lamps for a while. I came across these cute Ralph Lauren lamps over the weekend at Marshalls. I also saw them at T.J.Maxx and Home Goods stores. No surprize there...

These are at Marshalls. Love the double fish good fortune symbols. The lamp shades are a little too close to the base but, can be easily fixed.

Later I saw these gorgeous lotus design Ralph Lauren lamps at T.J.Maxx. I love these too.

The same double fish lamps were at another T.J.Maxx.

Love this Home Goods Ralph Lauren lotus design lamp. It is too big for my table.

Here are some more of these gorgeous lamps I found at T.J.Maxx (top) and Marshalls (bottom) over the weekend (7/15/2012)

... And the double fish design lamps ended up on my Chinese altar table.

Double fish detail.

Here is how they look on my Chinese altar table... By the way, all of the brass hindu statues also came from Marshalls, T.J.Maxx  and Home Goods stores... I collected them a few years ago...

If you are looking for blue&white asian inspired Ralph Lauren lamps, hurry to your local T.J.Maxx, Marshalls or Home Goods stores, they may not last long...
